The “Art for Peace” initiative that was born in Solano County and has spread to other parts of the Bay Area is now in San Francisco.
The Robby Poblete Foundation and United Playaz, in partnership with the San Francisco Police Department, were scheduled Thursday to officially launch the project in which guns voluntarily sold back are dismantled and the remains turned into pieces of art.
