High school students to tour ‘apprenticeship centers’ in Solano, Napa
FAIRFIELD — About 150 area high school students will pile into five buses and tour five union apprenticeship centers Friday – a tour designed to give the teens a first-hand look at possible construction careers as an alternative to going to college.
“This partnership is all about the kids and is a fantastic way to give our students the opportunity to learn by doing,” Lisette Estrella-Henderson, Solano County superintendent of schools, said in a statement announcing the tour.
