Our mission is to get unwanted guns out of circulation through annual gun buyback programs, preventing them from falling into the wrong hands, and transforming them into instruments of hope and opportunity through our arts and vocational programs. To date, our foundation has held two gun buybacks – in Solano County and the City of Richmond. RPF has been successful in getting approximately 250 firearms in total out of circulation – including numerous assault weapons. As part of our campaign to promote gun safety, our buyback events include the distribution of free gun locks for gun owners.
